747-400 departure stall

Postby WingAdmin » Tue Apr 30, 2013 8:58 pm

No idea what caused this, but it's both terrible and amazing at the same time.

A National Air Cargo Boeing 747-400 freighter on behalf of US Mobility Command, registration N949CA performing cargo flight N8-102 from Bagram (Afghanistan) to Dubai Al Maktoum (United Arab Emirates) with 7 crew and cargo consisting of 5 military vehicles, crashed shortly after takeoff from Bagram Air Base's runway 03 at 15:30L (11:00Z) and erupted into flames near the end of the runway within the perimeter of the Air Base. All 7 crew perished in the crash.

Pax aeterna

Pray for seven grieving families
The game's afoot;
Follow your spirit: and upon this charge,
Cry — God for Harry! England and Saint George!

Yes, pray for the families left behind. I wonder if there was an engine failure...

That`s very sad..Looks like he was tail dragging on take off, It looks like too much weight not enough thrust...Thinking it just stalled.
