No goldie in Miami

Postby seeberluca » Fri May 03, 2013 5:55 am

Hi people,
finally after years I got my first vacation in the USA. A week in Miami.
Very nice. ;)
I was able to see any kind of vehicle around the miami roads, but no goldwing at all.
I'm a little bit disappointed: I thought I could talk to some American goldwinger but nothing to do.
Anyway I had good time as well. :D 8-)

Enjoy your stay in the States. That surprises me. I always was under the impression that there were plenty of Wings in Florida considering they can be rode all year round down there.

Maybe lotta snow birds with goldwings, who would all be gone home now.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

I lived in Florida and the weather is great for motorcycles, most people from state like Michigan, Wisconsin and etc. would enjoy it. You might see a few on the weekend or someone who commutes to work. I lived in Ormond Beach not too far from Daytona Beach and you'd see a few.
Presently I'm in PA and I see more motorcycles on the road.

Gets too hot to ride down there this time of the year. Every body goes fron A/C to A/C.

Up here in WI we still have the furnace on, was 36 here again this morning. Thank God the snow stayed up North.
All we got was Rain for a change. I have a whole 40 miles on my cycle so far this season :(

About once a month I am on the east coast of Fl. with my '06 wing. I live just south of Sarasota and will take the ride across the state to West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale and points south just for something to do on a Sunday. Every once in a while I will make it down to south Beach. the big problem is the traffic and if you are on I 95 the four wheelers are downright crazy. What I hate about riding down here is the roads are straight and flat.

"kymco 150 to go to the garage to pick up the GL"

Do you live in one of those Italian castles on top of a mountain?

It sounds a delightful place, I am jealous.
