Water resistant tires?

Does anyone know of something I can spay on my bike tires to make them a bit more rain / water resistant?

Just asking.

What do you mean ? Tires are rubber they resist water.If you are asking to dis place water Then NO the snipes in the tire and tread pattern is what displaces the water.Spraying anything on a tire will problem cause then to become slick or slippery. Sally :lol:

Not on the tread but the sidewall,right?
I wonder if the Pledge that I use on the windshield would fit the bill..????
Wipe it with a rag dusted with Pledge....

If you want side wall done for sum reason I don't know why use tire shine armerall it repeles water Sally. Sorry if I don't understand question

There are a plethora of tyre wall treatments, some are pish, some are good. I have used several on my car at shows. A mate uses hair gel mixed with a little water, I was amazed when he tol;d me what he uses. You could try back to black wax, I use it on rubber mudflaps and it works really well, may be the best grime repellant.

Glycerine in water will quickly blacken tyres, if that is what you are looking for.
