Wow fella's, this is really cool for all of you bicycle riders or former riders, I was walking into a resturant yesterday with my two daughters and I notice a bike parked outside the enterance,, it had these really cool looking disk brakes on the rims..Far out man.. I said to myself Wow when did that happen, I'm so behind in the times.. :lol: Sorry, I didn't get a photo of it..

At least.

For better wet performance in mountain bikes.

Disc brakes have been available for quite some time, on bicycles. In 1994, Sachs unveiled the PowerDisc, the first hydraulic disc brake system that was mass-produced and thus available to a wide range of consumers. They are quite expensive, but really work better than anything except the old hub brakes that old Huffys used to have. You can see a hydraulically actuated one here:

Ok .. I admit it, I really haven't been paying much attention to bicycles but when I saw that disc, on the wheel I thought wow now that's cool...all the bicycles I have ever seen in the department stores don't have these, I suppose someone would need to go into a bicycle shop with the fancy type bikes to see these, or out and about at bike rallies....But for the common person that's not into bicycles much it surprised me, because I can ride a bicycle backwards. don't ask me to prove it because I might just do it and post it in a video.... :shock: ...Cool...People always said I was slow but 20 years slow is something.. :lol:

Ha ha ha...Good one,,,I went to walmart to get a quart of oil today, and I looked at the bikes.. auh man they had the bikes with the disc on the wheels there now,,Ok...We just bought bikes 6 months ago and I didn't see them then..whats going on..??? someone's just messing with me...I think.. :lol: I love the Flintstones, always thought Wilma and Betty were kinda Hot..ha ha.. When I have too many beers I start laughing like Wilma :shock: .. She's Hot isn't she??? Or not..??? :lol: am I the only one that thinks that? :shock: :lol:
