Can't argue with anything you have said. You have it right all round. Nobody can argue with the facts as you have expressed them. Guess you don't get to have a fight, Hawwwwwwwwww..... now who is the sucker?

lol, this is funny, obviously you are bored and need a "project".

I dig my 1500, not because of the reverse (though that is a major issue), but the center of gravity is so low that it is more "handleable" than your puny little 1100. And gotta admit little bro, you always gotta try to "poke the bear", don't you?

Would be curious, a test, an obstacle course, and race track to see really the better.

Now, I enjoy all, and I had an 1100, so embrace your brother/sister standing next to you, accept the differences and be happy we are all the same family. So where is the bbq and beers??

ha ha ha Bored is right..I do need a project..a challenge more like.. when I resort to wanting to fight my friends you know I'm bored out of my gord..Making /Wood crafts is cool and all but it's work and on my time table...I have had nothing go wrong on my bike for a long time now and I don't see anything in the near future going wrong as I covered all my bases....You folks are just way to nice on here....I thought someone would give me some grief..But I guess all of you are "CHICKEN"... I threw you guys some feed so come and get it,,....ha ha Or are you Turkey's...BQ and Beer sound really appealing ...Ok,,,my wife has been gone for 2 weeks now and I'm getting crazy..  She in Columbus MS. our next destination.. this is what happens when she goes away for a while..I lose it.. I swear I used some locktite but I think some screws are still loose...

Go get a Taco. That should keep you busy - or ten Tacos. Keep you real busy. And some Sun Tea with em. Then go for a ride on that 1100 you be so proud of. If I get to fighting, I do not know when to stop, which is why I won't give you a go. After your ride, you should be hungry again, so time for some burritos. By nightfall you should be so fulla beans you can't fight.... Ha.

I am just sitting here waiting for the sun to come out and the temp to come up so I can go for a ride.

Well, now he's hungry.
But I have a simple answer and it's good.

I never met a Goldwing I didn't like. ;)

Life's to short to fuss, enjoy the Wing you have.

No reason to fight...Personally I think the gl1100 would just walk away form the rest of the pack....
Mine did....idiot test driver proved it....I had a hard time trying to keep up with him on my 1200 in a 2 mile test run.....
Then he had the nerve to say it wiggled a little when he buried the spedo but smoothed right out in 5th gear......

.....IF IN FACT...your's is really as good as mine was.....
We'll never know....

I think mine was cooler tho....it was all black. :D

Ah sh*t. Now I'm hungry for a taco. I never had a puffy taco though. The rest of it sounds fantastic too. I have had normal crispy tacos and soft tacos and big tacos and little tacos, but never a puffy taco. I guess I gotta try me one a them.....someday. All my plans for riding this year went right to hell. The three W's got me... Wife, weather and whatever. Oh well, sucks to be me sometimes, but not most of the time so I guess I just live wit' it. Enjoy them tacos my friend.

About 20 years ago Beav, there was a cartoon on that was called the Angry Beavers. I used to watch it all the time with my daughter and laugh myself sore. Two beavers would basically "eat" up entire forrest and if somebody tried to stop them they would go after them too! See pic for "Beavers"
And, sorry for the loss of your friend.

Geeez, Beave, I was going to come back with a smart ass remark, until I got to the post about you losing your friend.
That's tough, man. I getting to the age where several of my friends are either having a stroke, heart attack, or passing away. I went to my HS reunion 3 months ago and was amazed and saddened to see so many of my classmates has passed. Lots of good friends gone.

Still around and coming from the 'Three Yellow Wire Tour' of repairing Goldwings for friends and fellow Wingers. I cannot find a job and I make use of my time this way. I get a place to stay, food and they get their bike running. I sold my trike when I couldn't find employment and have been job hunting and using the money to land a job. My next trike will look almost like the one in the avatar. I'm thinking of going to an area with a lot of Senior Citizens and building those trikes and selling them. :D

Yup, me to Trike....been looking for 4 months, but we still have a cushion to rely on, but hate to use that retirement $$ right now, I am not that old yet, and definitely doing small stuff to cover. Good luck on the search, fingers crossed, need to get back on a ride, then all is right with the world.

On my way back east to catch the final leg of the tour.
Contacted a shop in Wildwood Florida and the owner seemed interested, does a lot of work on Wings, trikes and HDs.
Told him I'm working on a bike in Michigan and will be returning as soon as it's done.
I have hobbies that can make money also, but just so many people want a custom made electric guitar or a counted cross stitch item.
I keep trying as sooner or later it will pay off. :D

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread, I'm posting this photo and a small story behind this Wing.
An abused Goldwing is not very happy or healthy. This one was badly abused with over 80,000 rough miles, it has experienced overheating and a nice leak. Seeing this poor bike wanted to make me fight and rescue it, no Goldwing deserves this treatment.
