Lemon pledge
I keep reading about lemon pledge being used to clean almost everything on the Goldwings but have some questions. Doesn't lemon pledge leave an oily film on everything and attract dust and dirt?
Is it something you use to clean the bike or used after washing? Wipe on the pledge with a rag or put it on and buff it out? Do you use it on everything or are there some things you don't want to put it on? I am assuming that you would never put it on floor boards, seats, or controls. How about headlight and running light lens. Would they get hot enough to do anything to the pledge?
Thanks for the information.

Re: Lemon pledge
Yes, it does. The Lemon Pledge leaves an oily coating, which is great at repelling water, but attracts dust, pollen, grit and everything else like a magnet. That's why I stopped using it in favor of the "no scent, no residue" version. Works just as well at cleaning bugs and grime off, especially the windshield, but doesn't leave the coating that attracts dust.smilam wrote:I keep reading about lemon pledge being used to clean almost everything on the Goldwings but have some questions. Re: Lemon pledge
Now that I might try. Having a black bike there is no way I can use the oily version.

Hey DingDong,
The photo supplied as your avatar is a little bit black, but looks like it is a Yellow-Black to me. Am I looking at it upside down or what?

Re: Lemon pledge
Even the "non-lemon" version? I am alergic to bees, though I can "duck and weave" quickly.
