90th Laconia 2013

Postby riffraff » Fri Jun 07, 2013 12:27 am

Loaded up and ready! Leaving in about 7 hrs once I'm off work. Gonna be a wet ride up though. "Rainconia" is its nickname! Earns it every year too.

Hey RiffRaff,

I trust that the skies are blue, the temps are just right, the roads are smooth, and the GW just hums along. Have a good trip to Laconia, on that special coloured bike of yours.

Set up and relaxing
. The view outside my tent. The sky is blue, but there's clouds and rain between me and that blue sky!

Another wonderful day in biker land. Most of my gift shopping is done, spent some money on me too. Road around in mid 70's sunshine, and even walked to the beach and back with camera in hand. Those pix will have to wait til I get home and load em on my laptop. Here's the front of the vest!

Woke up to the pitter patter of rain this morning. Threw on the rain gear and did the grocery shopping. The rain broke around one but the posers stayed in. This shot was taken at 3:00 this afternoon. A tough day for the venders!
Got this shirt the other day. Now I match my bike

Hey RiffRaff, it looks like you are getting into the swing of things there, keeping vendors afloat amidst the rain, and networking with other riders. Have a ball!

Down the strip early for a prime spot for picture taking.
Just sat there for hours watching the bikes and folks roll by. Homer Simpson was there. Too much to drink though, riding in the back
The holy rollers are a fixture here trying to spread the word, save a soul, and bless a bike or two. To each their own. Very nice art though.

A Harley of a very different color  It needs a pinstripe to break it up a little in my opinion, but I do like the color on this one!

Like the artwork on the GL1500. Sea-foam green HD is different and easy to find.

More for me! :) Since textile seems to be the future of all around riding gear and inexpensive compared to quality leather apparel, I got a new jacket. Waterproof, removable lining, armored, and very reflective!

Glow in the dark, right? Now you need a "skull" to wear inside your helmet and the pants/gloves to match!

I just like the larger than usual amount of reflective area on it since I ride to work at night 5 nights a week like normal people do in the daytime! :D

I definitely think you will have to change your callsign to "Bones"! Looks nice gear, let us know how it goes after a few wears in the different weather.

I assume they have non-bone type jackets as well? I dont think the bones would be right for me.

They had no bone jackets, but like I said, I wanted the large amount of reflective material cuz part of my work commute is late night. I'll all the help I can get in Boston
