Would you pay for something like this?

Postby PaulSR » Tue Jul 02, 2013 9:15 pm

I am a photographer and have been perfecting a new technique for making high resolution photos of motorcycles and cars.

My question is, would you pay for something like this?

Here is an example (Sorry, it's a Harley! :) ) http://www.gigapan.com/gigapans/133699 you can zoom around and look closely at the shot on this website.

I'll be taking one of my personal bike and posting it soon.

With a shot like this you would be able to make a life-size print of your bike with loads of detail. The posted shot is over 330MP

Please let me know what you think.

Thank you,
Paul

Nice viewable picture with lots of scalable detail...What would be cool would be to add on the 360* viewing capability.....Like this...http://www.360degreeviews.com/portfolio.php

That would be cool, but I don't think there is a website that would allow the 360 AND the zooming in features. The file would be HUGE! i counted 46 images in one of the 360 images, so 330mb x 46 = 151.8 gigabytes.
But it would be cool!!!

Thanks,
Paul

Myself I probably wouldn't pay for it but those Harley guys will buy just about anything with an HD logo.

I can definitely see a market for it in the vintage world.

No, I would not pay for that, I have no need for it.
