J & P Cycles

http://www.jpcycles.com/

This site was recommended to me by a friend, just curious if anyone had any dealings with them. They seem to have a lot of parts for the older GWs. One thing I did notice, they list an exact fit exhaust for my '83 Aspencade, however it states it fits all GL1100s from 80-83. From reading here I was under the impression the '83 exhaust crossover tube is located in different place.

I'm looking at the parts manual right now. The part number for the left and right muffler assembly (including the crossover) are identical for all years 80-83:

Left: 18400-463-000
Right: 18300-463-000

The exception is for European market mufflers. They have different numbers for 80-82:

Left: 18400-463-640
Right: 18300-463-640

There is no part listed for 83 for European market. I don't know if that means they use the same -000 part as the others for that year?

Ok, I thought I read on here somewhere that the '83 crossover was farther back, so if you tried to use an exhaust from an '82 it would interfere with the center stand. I must have misread the information. Anyway. The site I linked does sell new exhaust systems for the earlier GWs.
