I found this on youtube today and found this idea to be a good way of resurfacing your cylinder head....I have not had to do my own but perhaps in time I will...I will be ready for this when it comes...

I've done it before with automobile heads. Kind of a poor boy's method for doing it. You need to try to insure even pressure over the entire surface and don't press down in the same place all the time. Nowhere nearly as accurate nor precise as a proper setup but poor people have poor ways. Never had any problems doing it this way.
