Cool weather in Texas! Don't happen very often and don't last for very long. Working with single minded determination on the trike project. Took the morning off to go to the "supply house" for some electrical parts......

Yes I know about the weather in Texas and Arlington in particular. I lived there a while. I truly miss traders village. I think they closed it before I left, but the Achafelia River café was my all time favorite restaurant.

Oh Trader's Village is still there and going strong! I call it Little Mexico. Couple of years ago I sold my '79 1000 to my friend in Colorado. He's got a heart condition and getting up there, has no intention of quitting motorcycles. He's challenged me to something. Find a small differential and adapt it to the bike. The 79's came and went well before anyone wanted to add a wheel to the back. I'm sure I can dig around some junkyards and find/modify all the things to adapt a small differential, smallish automobile tires. Fenders. Smaller tires means tinkering with ratios to keep engine rpm where it should be. Suspension don't have to change. Offset the new gearbox to match the input position of the old one. Adapt the input into the new differential to accept the Honda spline shaft......
Getting cooler, beautiful weekend. Daughter and husband had dinner with me last night. We ate outside and it's the first time in weeks it was pleasant outside that time of night. Yeah that weather's a changin' !

We get so many of them, that it is a toss up whether to go fishing, go riding, go out with the dogs, or stay home and help in the garden. I wonder which one I will pick this weekend?

The wife is coming back on Wednesday from a short stint in Phooenix AZ and Columbus OH delivering some pups to friends of ours. The pups were bred by us, and are the first African Basenjis born in Oz, and there have been some serious inquiries about them from others as well. So I guess I will have to devote some time to the garden so that everything is ship-shape again. Does anyone know how to get engine oil out of carpet? It has to be a quick fix, as she will be here in a couple of days
Len in Kapunda

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.

Love and War in Texas... NOW THAT IS A RESTAURANT!!! Went to Arlington for a job interview and they took me there before my flight. Chicken fried steak the size of a Steudabaker hood. OK, so maybe not that big but oh man was I full when I left! lol
