Wow...just wow. Motorcycle hooligans.

Postby WingAdmin » Mon Sep 30, 2013 8:24 pm

New York City police are hunting for a vengeful band of up to 30 motorcyclists who forced a driver on a harrowing high-speed chase through Upper Manhattan and then beat him in front of his wife and 2-year-old daughter.

The six-minute pursuit on Sunday — which was captured on video and posted on YouTube — began when the driver of a black Range Rover called 911 to report erratic bikers taking part in an unauthorized rally dubbed Hollywood Stuntz, police told NBC New York.

New York police commissioner Ray Kelly says the department is investigating whether a motorcycle group attacked an SUV driver who broke the leg of a cyclist.

The video shows the motorcycles converged on the 33-year-old man's vehicle on the West Side Highway in Harlem, and he apparently clipped a bike that cut closely in front of him.

The motorcycle rider suffered a broken leg, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said. Some of the other bikers then surrounded the SUV.

"They take their helmets and start to dent his car, and apparently his tires are slashed there with a knife," Kelly said.

The video, shot with a helmet-mounted camera, shows the driver then took off, knocking down more bikes as others tore down the blacktop after him.

During a 50-block chase, the bikers managed to trap the Range Rover again, and one of them got off and pulled open the driver's side door before the motorist swerved and sped away.

After his tires finally went flat on a side street, the group blocked him in again. One biker was seen yanking off his helmet and using it to smash in the SUV window.

Police said the man suffered black eyes and other injuries in the subsequent beating. After receiving some stitches, he was released from Columbia University Medical Center.

No arrests have been made, but police are examining surveillance video from a nearby gas station where some of the motorcyclists stopped.

Kelly said the bikers did not have a permit for the rally and the NYPD only learned of the show-boating event — in its second year — through social media.

He said police had fanned out around Manhattan to watch for trouble, arresting 15 bikers and confiscating 55 motorcycles unrelated to the attack on the Range Rover.

Looks like the guy barely missed the range rover by cutting in front of it, then Immediately slowed way down to cheese for the camera.

Pretty ridiculous on the part of the sport bike riders. I will not call them bikers, as to be a biker requires some common sense, which is not evident there. In a crash contest between a car and a motorcycle - the car wins. Duh!

I'm surprised those squids didn't crash into themselves. On the video, at 3:08 there is a quad coming up from behind.
That's a tough situation for any driver of a car, what would you do?

I went on youtube and found a lot more videos of that ride before the accident and these guys are plan stupid!! The are running every red light, going the wrong way, cutting cars off, and pulling wheelies. And they wonder why the guy took off and ran over them I am sorry that the guys got hurt but when you ride stupid like that its only a matter of time before someone gets killed or messed up for life.

Exactly what he did, only also head for a police precinct building, where lots of cops are in and out. In Canada, I would probably be charged - in the U.S. probably given a medal.

I would have ran over a lot more of them then did. My 4 wheel drive would have been working overtime.

One of the sportbike riders that got ran over will never be riding again. His spine broke in 2 places when the SUV went over the top of him! Just a sad situation, really sad.

Yeah, I was thinking when I saw that, if it was me, once I got stuck in traffic and the one guy smashed my window to open my door, I would have been opening fire.

Ok fella's, I saw this as well on the news today, the man had his wife and his baby with him, I'm sorry but with that many dudes trying to hassle me and my family, there would not be many of them left, you do know that there's a reverse on that SUV I would have taken a bunch of them out because I would think they are going to kill us...They would be picking up lots of body parts off the street for hours..I might wreck my car but I'm not going to let them get my family...Self defense....So when I get back home and my neighbor says hey man what did you guys do today?, oh not much just run over a bunch of superbikes is all...ha ha then I woke up...

Has there been a video posted of the "before" scenes? I haven't seen one. I'm always amazed when people post videos of themselves causing trouble or breaking the law. The video as shown will convict some of them. I understand the guy that pulled in front of the Rover and the guy that busted the window with his helmet have been arrested.

From the video, the biker got what he deserved, you can't go scaring people and not expect to get in trouble!! In this day and age you don't know what to expect when that many people are involved. Like was said I would have went to the closest police station before stopping or at least called 911!

According to the reports he did call 911 before they stopped him and he ran over the first one...Guy he ran over; mom was on Good Morning America this morn. all "BOOOO HOOOO he's never gonna walk again, he didn't deserve this BOOOO HOOOO"...I'm sorry did she see the video? He got off lucky IMO...I carry, if it had been me, right after I called 911 he would have been shot. GMA attny. said driver probably wouldn't be charged criminally, but could be sued civil by biker and family. Good thing I can't be on that jury.

I thought that biker got himself run over. Cutting that close to the front of the SUV then hitting his brakes? I'm sorry he got hurt but I think he caused it to happen. I've watched other youtube video's of bikers like this who record themselves breaking the traffic laws and swarming around people in cars. I guess they post them up on youtube for bragging and showing off.

I couldn't agree more. Its a good thing I ain't on the jury. I'd want all those idiots to be charged and throw the book at them.

Looks like most of the other videos before the original have been deleted. The guy who slowed in front of the SUV isn't the biker with the injuries. It was another guy who stopped to help that idiot.

Finally found that one. SCARY is all I have to say. Even a few non street legal Quads with them. With what I have seen so far this is one of the only times I am siding with the cage driver.

Strange though. Under slightly different circumstances the guy at the end is doing exactly what we all have felt like doing when confronted with some cage drivers. Right or wrong, I can imagine what he is feeling after seeing his buddy get driven over.

The scariest thing to come out of all of this is, most people out there only see someone on 2 wheels, not a couple on a GW or a biker on a Harley, or a out of control idiot on a sport bike out to cause trouble. All they see is a motorcycle and sooner or later one of them will either panic and get one of us hurt, or someone will take it upon themselves to "teach them gangsters a lesson" and someone will get hurt or worse, all because a few had to go out and act a fool, cause they think it's fun to ride through traffic and scare people.
