I Just bought a 2002 Goldwing last week, it has been a dream of mine to own and ride one for many many years, it has been 20 years since I rode a bike, I have owned a honda 350, 550, 750, but like I said it has beed 20 years ago. All my kids are grown and moved out, so now it is MY TIME
Any advice from those of you who are in the same situation?

Get familiar with the bike, make sure you can trust it mechanically, then plan some long-distance rides to new and faraway places!

Rod
i was in the same spot as you a few years ago , i took a safety refresher coarse , sounds lame , but they helped a lot , before i could start they required a coat , gloves and boots
I was on the coarse with a guy with a new 1800 , he laid it down during slow maneuvers. They showed him how to pick it up by himself His pride was hurt more than the bike
It was a great experience for all of us gray hairs , helped with the bike and with traffic etc , it has changed a lot in twenty years
Cheers
Terry
