side covers

Postby captainkyle » Fri Oct 04, 2013 2:47 pm

Just checking to see if any one has used these side covers from wingstuff. http://wingstuff.com/products/33305-raw ... m_search=1 I know there probably not as good as OEM just want to know if they are decent enough to use. I don't have a show bike & have been painting for years plus I plan on painting the whole bike with in e few months any way so don't really want to spend the money on an OEM cover if these will work decent. Thanks in advance,Kyle

I think they would be worth a try. Order the chrome ones and you will not need to paint them. The price is right, lot cheaper than OEM.

I am not a fan of the chrome covers for some reason there just to much for me. I have been painting for years so that part is not a big deal. Thanks

The chrome ones were on the 88 wing I bought a few months ago. They seem to be ok, and fit properly. So compared to OEM price...good deal I would think. I'm with you though on the chrome....would rather they had been stock color.

No problem will do ! I guess I just had to start off with this wing right & lose the cover right off the bat. This is my 3rd 1500 & I have lost a cover on every one of them. Maybe I need to ride slower. :D

Are Rudy's side cover savers still available?? Maybe you need to invest in those.

I have never heard of them. I would probably be interested & the bike that was behind me that deflected it off his arm would probably like if I had them to.

You definitely need to invest in some of Rudy's products. I've got them all over my bike. Have a look: Rudy's Keeper Products

Ok I received the wingstuff covers today & over all they look like a decent quality to me. I will say the body line on the back where they meet the bags is not perfect but if you have not done body work for a living you probably will not notice. I am happy over all they came with new grommets so it fits nice & tight now. I just spray bombed it for now until I can get a chance to repaint the whole bike but that makes me happy for now.
