sea side adventures

Postby detdrbuzzard » Sun Oct 13, 2013 6:55 pm

well little beaver said that the number of pic's were going down so i'm posting about the tripi took yesterday. after having breakfast i got some summer gear , my gps, and the camera loaded on the wing. leaving out about 8:30 i took shafer north to I-96, I-96 east then took M-8 to I-75 going north. there wasn't much traffic until i got up to 14 mile rd.and once up to big beaver rd. i found out why? fog lots of fog, lots of heavy fog. so much that my windshield was dripping water. it was all gone by the time i got to pontiac, mi. i stopped in saginaw for $10 worth of gas and to take off the fleece jacket i had on under my metro jacket. a mile nort the expressway was detoured onto I-675 then back onto I-75. my next exit was in bay city on m-25. made a left on m-13, veered right on m-247 and took it around to bay city state park. some pic's from the park

i hung out there awhile the went back to the parking lot, it was starting to get warm and i was ready to take off the metro jacket and put on the old joe rocket phonex 4.0 jacket. i headed out of the park and reversed corse, made my way back to m-25 and headed around the thumb to port austin, mi. about an hours worth of riding. i stopped at one of the roadside parks just outside of town for these pic's

i took a short break and ate a half a bag of potatoe chips then i was right back on m-25. i stopped again for $10 worth of gas just before leaving out of port austin. my next stop was the white rock road side park just outside of white rock, mi.

there was a stairway leading down to the water but my knees said stay up top. back in western times the us government had a treaty with the indians in the area that said that the white man could not settle in the lands north of white rock, must have had an expiration date on that treaty :)

the breeze comming off the water was startingto cool this off so i took m-25 into port huron, mi. i was going to stop for lunch but i wanted to take the long way home and the deer are on the move in the areas i would be traveling through. in downtown port huron the draw bridge was up so i had to wait awhile. i picked up m-29 just outside of marysville, mi. pretty uneventfull. in downtown st. clair, mi i got caught by the draw bridge. once across i stopped and put another $10 worth of gas in the tank. back on the road i took m-29 around to I-94. my next exit was lonyo st. took it over to warren rd and stopped at mc donalds for a carry out. its about a mile home from there

The wife and I took a 130 mile ride yesterday (10/12) we don't get to see much sea shore OLO!! but the desert and mountains are worth a good look, nice scenery! and a beautiful day to ride!! With hardly any traffic, and that is always a plus!
I’d rather be Riding my Motorcycle thinking about God
Than sitting in church thinking about my Motorcycle

Wally, just hold down the ALT key on your keyboard, then on the keypad type: 80

That will get you a capital P. For a lower case p, hold down ALT and type: 112

Or...highlight the letter "p" somewhere on the page, type CTRL-C to copy it, then every time you want to use the letter P, type CTRL-V to paste it in.

Or...buy a new keyboard. :)

been there wally, went with some friends last year. there's mary's diner in port sanilac, i use to deliver produce there back in the "80's. i had stops in port huron, lexington, lexington hts, peck, sandusky, port sailnac, deckerville, applegate, the cyo boys camp, the cyo girls camp. on my days off i would get on my honda cb350 and tour the thumb along the huron river but never thought to take the pentax with me. oh i can't have onion anything i'm alergic to them although i have been known to chewed on some lace

Scott I tried the "alt" 112 that doesn't work and I tried the "alt" eighty (found out the eight and zero key no longer work either. This is a mini-notebook and doesn't have a numeric keypad just the numbers across the top, but I am able to copy and paste the letter "p". looks like I'll have take this apart and see if cleaning will fix it.
Detdrbuzzard then you must certainly know where Yale is, you've delivered all around me!
