GL500 Silverwing

Postby Claude Stephens » Fri Nov 01, 2013 5:48 am

As I approach 60 years of age with 48 years of riding experience, I find I much prefer riding my 1982 GL500 over my Harley. I appreciate the Silverwing posts on this site and was wondering what other websites are out there dedicated specifically to the GL500 and GL650?

I let Google help, and found this. There are a few others if you type in <GL500 Silverwing forum> into the search engine.

My son had a CX500 that he let me ride a few times. I loved the bike, it was the best, quietest shifting transmission of any bike I have ridden. It felt a little top heavy, and seemed like it needed one more gear, but it was a great bike to ride and to work on with everything out in the open. Loved it.

You can also look into the CX500 site they cover the Interstate models.
