I'll have to agree 100%. Although I'm a relative "noob", I've already gleened enough info to carry me thru these long winter months. :D

Today is the oldest you've ever been,
yet the youngest you'll ever be,
so enjoy this day while it lasts.

+1
When I got my bike, I knew ZERO about Gold Wings. With the help of the most excellent 'how to's' at this site, I rebuilt all major systems by myself.
Thanks from me too!

And from me. When trying to understand something Goldwing, I tend to come here first, and the user manual last. I have even enjoyed contributing to the How To section, in an effort to give something back. But can someone tell me what software system is used for the forum? I am in a number of other groups, all with Yahoo, and they are mostly dying due to the changes Yahoo have implemented to thier forum system. This forum is so simple to use. Is it created in a publicly available utility?

Cheers

Mervk.

I have been on here quite a while, and was completely new to leadwings (It's like a goldwing only heavier due to all the farkles that have been added) so it was great to have a place to ask loads of newbie questions. Everyone was really nice and helpful, even though I am sure my questions had been asked a hundred times before. I have ridden motorcycles for 30+ years so I try to give back, but I love this site and the people on here, one of the best WEB sites anywhere..

Hi Mervk,

The base software is phpbb, however I have done a great deal of modifications and changes myself, so a fair bit of the things you see on this forum you won't see anywhere else.

I have to agree 100%... A couple of months ago I parked my 1974 BMW and picked up a low mileage 83 Interstate. I've been checking out quite a few Goldwing Forums and this one is BY FAR the best one out there.
