Introduction to the site

Post by DD1957 » Sun Nov 17, 2013 6:23 pm

Hello, new to the site. I'm rebuilding my 7th GL goldwing. I've had a 1976,(2)1977, (2)1978, 1979, and now GL1100. I know these bikes!

Hello DD and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. To say you know these bikes is an understatement. I think you have been collecting or maybe on the verge of hoarding. At least if you still have them and are either parting them out or rebuilding them other collectors would be interested in contacting you. You know a good product when you see one don't you?

The Mecca....Marysville...I got a place in bellefontaine (I use Columbus because everyone knows that.) I live there and in Youngstown.
I went to bike days in B-town when they closed off main street and it was nothing but Wings.....Now it's all Harleys.....Even West Liberty. I don't know what moving the Wing plant to Japan mean't to the economy, but from the bikes I see now......Wings took a hit in that area. We'll have to get together this spring. I don't know anything or anybody that owns these older wings. I'd sure like to see some running. Ride safe and stay tuned in, it's a good site to read while having breakfast. After that I start posting and it goes down hill....

I am waiting, but not patiently! Put 1000 miles on the GW in January. Warm and dry month here.
