Gold Wing Trike

Postby Sy Brule » Tue Dec 31, 2013 2:08 pm

New owner of 97 Wing converted to trike, current front tire is -Dunlop 491, 130/70 B18 63H, believed to be tire from two wheel configuration.
One year left, seeking recommendations for replacing tire.

Thx,

Sy Brule

Hello, Trike Lady.

The current tire rides hard and has more tread on the side walls than the center.
I'll check the E3 for comparison.

Unless you like changing front every 8-10 k miles Iknow this gonna sound weird but besttire for a trike is abias ply for sport bike the same size as current recommended tire is Bridgestone battlax or Michelin pilot AT. 20-25 k

What turboman said. Bias ply back tire running the arrow the wrong way. 39 to 41 psi. And triketalk.com is where you want to learn and ask questions.

Michelon Pilot Activ, mounted in reverse is the way that I go....I also mounted balancer discs and the combo really does improve the ride and tire wear.
