Today was just beautiful. 57 degrees with lots of sun. I had to go to the doctor
early this morning while it was still only 35 with winds at 15 mph, so I took my
motor. When I got out about 11:00 AM I just rode aimlessly around town until
about an hour ago. It was great to do after such a bad weather winter we have
had this year. I am going to be out as often as possible each day for the next
couple of weeks while we are having some much needed sun and warm temps.
I was only able add another 5,000 miles to my motor last year. I intend to see
about making it double that this year.

I used to ride all year long, regardless of the weather. In winter I would wait until
the plows had cleared the roads then ride anyway. I did have to ride in snow if I
had to go before the plows got to the task. I have ridden in snow and on ice many
times. It is a real trick to do, but can be fun if one views it as a challenge. Of
course, now with my age and problems I wait until there are clear roads. Although,
I have ridden in heavy rains the past couple of years. Over the last 35 years I have
just made sure I always have a fairing with a good, high windshield. That helps
a lot. Of course, also one may say about me that where there is no sense, there
is no feeling. lol

Dave.
