Sad day

Postby Dave N » Sun Mar 23, 2014 1:38 pm

It was a very sad day for the small town of Garrettsville Ohio were I live as one block of Main Street burn down. Some of these buildings were over 150 years old.

As a retired firefighter I can just envision all the tactics that may have been tried with a crew that hates to give up. They knew what was at lost and were going to try anything and everything to stop what they could. But as with small town Fire Departments, volunteers seem to come out of the woodwork. Word gets out of a need for help and people come with tools and knowledge. True, you can never get back what you lost. But you might be able to make better from the ashes.

Wow...that's too bad Dave. I really hate to see history being destroyed like that.
