Need Manuals/Recalls for my 2008 GL1800

Postby MaineRider » Sun Apr 06, 2014 11:10 am

Hi All,

I find a page with the documents I need, but, when I try to download them, I get pop-ups for downloader programs, which I do not want to install, and one or two which linked-out to a site to buy them from (as PDF files, for $39.95/each).

I'm looking for an Owner's Manual for my newly-purchased (have-yet-to-pick-up) 2008 GoldWing GL1800.

Can anyone tell me, am I doing something wrong? Are they really for-cost downloads, and do I really have to install downloader programs?

I'm not interested in paying $40 to read something I can read for free, when I pick up my new ride. I just want to familiarize myself with the controls and options before I pick it up on Saturday.

Thank-you,

MaineRider

Your manual is available on this site. You need to be able to read PDF files. Enjoy riding it!

Hi Guy,

I found it on this site, but it keeps telling me I need to install some downloader program...is that right?

I already have Adobe Reader installed, so that's not a problem. :-)

Thank-you!

I see what you mean, My son put it right on my computer, not sure how he did it. He is way more computer literate than I am. I just know it can be done as we didn't pay anything for it. I will try emailing him to see if we can figure it out.

Hi Seelyark1!

Thank-you! You can share my email with him (davereed at midmaine dot com) if you want, if he can just email it to me, that's fine too, or a link that works. Whatever :-)

Thank-you, man!
