Honda goldwing trip planner

Postby tech1 » Tue Apr 08, 2014 11:52 am

Hi all
Has anyone had difficulty trying to plan a trip on thes Honda Goldwing trip planner site?
I get to start and it does nothing. I'd like to make trip plans on it. I'm registered and it logs me in BUT nothing else.
I cannot even click help support?
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks Tech1

I assume you're talking about this Honda Trip Planner? It's been in "beta" for three years, so I suspect it's not on Honda's priority list.

My favorite is Tyre To Travel. It's free, uses Google Maps, and creates itineraries (route maps) that I can download directly into my TomTom.

Tyre to Travel looks interesting I will have to try that one. I have had the best luck with the Harley Davidson trip planner. Much more user friendly than Honda's.

I always use HD Ride Planner as well!
Once you use it a few times and get used to it's 2 idiosyncrasies, you'll discover it is easy to use and works well, as it is based on Google Maps. ;)

I use Garmin's Basecamp. The user interface is a little weird but once you get it figured out you can get it to work. I like that I can save everything locally and then download what I need to any or all of the GPSes I own. Basecamp is a free download from Garmin's website and is available on a PC or a Mac.
