Old Bike Barn website problems

Postby stevenstrack » Fri May 14, 2010 6:02 pm

Beware. I ordered wheel bearings and some other stuff over eight days ago. They gave me a tracking number a couple days ago that doesn't't work. I have tried calling and sent three emails with the same responsce that to give UPS a chance to upload tracking. A link back to their site doesn't' do a thing. You would think after three case numbers assigned they would call. My next call is the BBB.

Thanks now for the insight. I wish I would have seen some posting on this before I ordered. I'm a new owner and new to this site which is awlsome. I have been breaking down my bike that i just bought from my neighbor and really could use the wheel bearings to start putting her back together. For anyone that might think of ordering parts from "Old Bike Barn" please don't, they have no customer service and it takes way too long to get the stuff you order. I'm just wondering if they have even sent my order like they say.

DON'T ORDER FROM "OLD BIKE BARN"

I got my 1100 wheel bearings (and a lot of other parts) from PartsnMore, who I can highly recommend.

update...I received my wheel bearings yesterday from USPS only my package which was to also supposed to contain a rear mastercylinder rebuid kit, the kit was not included. So after ordering this material on May 6 I'm still waiting on 1 more part to ship. The "Old Bike Barn" said my order was fullfilled, i'm not sure what that means as they still owe me a part that they charged me $35.95 for. So...i'm back to trying to contact them to find out what is going on.

Sorry to hear of all your problems. I use bike bandit for all my parts and have never had a problem.. Highly recomended..
