Postby jdavidsmit » Mon May 12, 2014 12:08 pm

:? Attached to the handlebar of my wing is a bar to hold accessories like cup holder clipboards phone ect. the problem is last year the cup holder broke and i cannot find any ID on any of the parts, so i can get a new one. Anyone know who made it or where it still might be available?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I have never seen that on a GL1500 before. How does the bar fasten to the handlebars?

The front half of the clamp that holds the two master cylinders were removed and this bar attaches in their place. it's looks like it was made special for the GL1500, same color as the rest of the handlebar controls.

I have that same bar on my 1500. I can't remember the manufacturer offhand. I am sure I can come up with it over the weekend. Stay tuned.

I looked through all my 1500 accessory docs and I cannot find any info on this bar. I know I had it in my hand when I ordered for my 1800 (different bar and manufacturer) but that does not help you any. I will keep looking. Sorry I could not help right away.

I found the receipt for this bar last week, but it won't help you any. The receipt I have is for cash at Americade in 1996. This indicates that (a) It was bought and installed at Americade which meant; (b) I would not have saved any of the packaging or manufacturer information. The receipt only indicates a GL Tour Bar and Ditty Bag from Cope Motorsports in Dalton, GA. Sorry it doesn't help you any.
