Ensure the Kill Switch is not activated. Put the bike in neutral. Turn on the key. Press the start button.

If that does not work, try pulling in the clutch just prior to pressing the start button.

If that does not work, check the side stand switch to make sure it is disabled.

And as a last resort, make sure the reverse button is not pushed.

Other than that, I cannot think of anything else that might be causing a no start.
It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

When I first got on a GL1800 from riding aGL1500, I could not get the bike to start for the life of me. The difference between the two are: The 1500 ignition switch goes from Park, Accy, Start on the GL1800 it goes from Park, Start, Accy. I sat on that bike tring to get it started for about 3 minutes until a friend of mine came to the rescue. I guess it pays to read the labeling on the switch.

Make sure the battery if fully charged, otherwise it might still be difficult to start.

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.

I had the same issue as wing rider, Dealer came out twice and started it but you think I could figure the switch out until it was pointed out to me
