First post. Want that cooler! Like the newsletter. Former Harley owners, we decided on comfort and bought our Goldwing 1500. Love it!

Hello and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. I am always very happy to greet a former Harley rider to the pleasures of a great machine. I am on my third Gold Wing, first one was a 1200, upgraded to a 1500 when a friend was going through a divorce but was involved in a head on accident with that one so now am now on my third Gold Wing which is also a 1500 but is a trike conversion, which is the only way I am able to ride now due to injuries from the accident. I absolutely love the Gold Wings, other than some jobs are a pain to get done due to everything being so compact. If you have any questions about your new ride don't be afraid to ask, that is what we are here for. Ride safe.

Damn, now I am in trouble, and then I look at the name and see that it is "stroll", not "troll".....my bad...as always ;)

Oh, and a "troll" in Goldwinger talk could be one that cruises the goldwing boards....ya ya, that is it :D

That's funny. I thought the same thing and had to look twice before I caught it.

spanishstroll,

Welcome to the site and welcome to travel on a Gold Wing. I wish you many fun filled miles of touring.

And you guys don't need to worry about winning the bag, as they say "it is in the bag"!

The cooler bag works great, I have one myself (which is where I got the idea) and used it this past hot weekend. A full day of 85 degree temperatures, and the drinks stayed cool inside.

Well, I'd certainly be amiss if I didn't also welcome you to the forum (not to mention trying for the cooler bag). From one "relatively" new forum member to another, welcome from South-East Michigan. This is a great site with a wealth of information from some friendly folks. Check out the How-To section for many great DIY projects.
I ride a '96 1500SE and love it. Can't wait for the first major road trip. Enjoy the new toy.

Please say you didn't give that up for motorcycling. That's a gorgeous boat and a great view. I'll bet you had many great times aboard.

After our 5 year circumnavigation was completed back in 2009 we were ready for a change. Sailing was great fun but so is motor biking! Plus it keeps us much closer to all the grandkids!

+1 on the grandkids. We have 4 ourselves. I was checking out some of the videos and man, those are some great stories and adventures. You are blessed to have been able to enjoy the moment! Good for you. And, like you said, now you can enjoy some of the solid ground scenery, of which there is plenty.

Yes, OnPapasWing, we are truly blessed. We have six - three of each! The oldest 6 years and the youngest just turned 2.
When talking with fellow sailors, we always ended with "May you have fair winds and following seas!" What's a good salutation for Goldwingers?

Welcome from the far south.

There is always "keep the shiny side up". Whatever the salutation, it doesnt matter, what matters is that you enjoy what you are doing. Besides, motorcycling is much cheaper than ripping up $100 notes with a boat
