Lots of steel wool and aluminum polish. Amazing what's under all the neglect!

Looks nice! I give my wheels a really good cleaning only when I change the tires, otherwise it's just a wipe with some cleaner/polish. Every time I do it, I think "I should do this all the time, they look great!" But then...I'd rather be riding than cleaning. :)

Once they are clean you can spray them with PAM cooking spray, not the butter flavor, and it repells the brake dust,. Next time you wash the wheel with soap, let it dry and re-apply.

Following the progress on your bike and you're shining it up real purty! You better take some pictures because once it's running, you'll be riding and won't have that much time for cleaning.

Thanks for the compliments. I have to say , that even though I've somewhat just started this restoration , this site and the individuals here are very helpful. I have a ways to go and will definitely keep the pics coming.
Also, I just recently watched the restoration here on a 1100 I believe. The dude was out of canada. Man , he puts my restoration to shame. I mean, he took virtually everything apart and restored it beautifully. I will do my best.
Carbs should be done soon , then will replace all fluids.
