New Goldwing

Post by Harp » Wed Aug 13, 2014 6:03 pm

Finally treated myself to a brand new wing after 6 years of constantly turning wrenches and repairs. This baby handles so much better than the '85. The Mrs loves her heated seat and is now willing to go on a long trip! Rushmore & Crazy Horse Monuments here we come!!! :)

Congrats! I just got a "new to me" Goldwing 1500. Pics to come soon. Rushmore is great, but Crazy Horse is a bad joke. I was there two weeks ago. $11 bucks to get in?? According to friends, nothing has changed in the past two years.

Congratulations. Was just up in your area two weeks ago. Son and grandkids in Akron and sister-in-law in Lakewood. I grew up in Bay Village. At least it was cooler up there than down here in S.W. Florida.

I have an '06 with just over 135,000 on it and ride straight thru. 19 hours with no problems. I have made this round trip 7 times this way. I wonder if that's an Iron Butt record?

Thanks all! It's a great ride. Heated seat in Aug this year has almost been a necessity, Brrrrr.

With a ride like that, you should be able to cruise as far and wide as you wish. Nice colour. Lots of photos from your trips, please.

A friend of mine has an 1800 that looks a lot like your new ride. I rode with him for a few miles a week or so ago, with him in the lead. We approached a long straight section of highway, and I could tell he goosed his a little... He moved away from me (and my old 1200) so fast, that I knew there was no way I could keep up if he hadn't let off. I was a little jealous LOL...

You did buy the fastest color (RED) and your motorcycle is absolutely beautiful. I hope you enjoy many, many years of riding and memory making on your new Wing!

I am wrong as often as I am right concerning what is wrong with someone else' motorcycle without having seen the machine in person. Guessing with limited information, as to the source of the trouble, is sketchy at best.
