Kajunmisfitt in crash

Postby WingAdmin » Mon Sep 01, 2014 9:42 pm

I got a note from user Kajunmisfitt asking me to let everyone know that he was involved in a motorcycle crash on Saturday. He says he had two broken shoulder blades, broken rib, left collar bone fracture, scrapes and bruises. However, he is in good enough shape to log on and send me that message, so that's good news. No news however about his GL1100. If you want to drop him a line, I'm sure he'd like to hear from you.

Hey, Kajun Misfitt, get better very soon. But take it easy until you are better. Warm thoughts have been sent your way.

Hello to all,
Sorry, I have not gotten back and given an up-date. I am doing much better, I go to the surgeon tomorrow and we are going to see if his opinion is right and I don't need surgery on my collar bone. I am tired of the pain ,wish the bones would just heal and we could just go on our merry way, But I am getting better. Sleeping much better as the night go by. I have this GL1100A this is the only transportation ,I have at the moment, But that is only taken me almost a week for me to get back on it, it hurt a little at first, but when I hit a bump WOW, not happening, So I waited a little then tried again,,, time is my friend in this equation. But I am getting there, Thanks for the comments and the prayers, Keep them coming !!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL !!!

Glad to hear that you are able to move around a little. I spent 2 years having 9 surgeries before I finally got as good as it was going to get. Shoulders are very complex because of all the different movements you make. I hope you take your time and you know you don't heal as well as you used to. Take care my friend.

Re: Kajunmisfitt in crash, UP-DATE 10/01/14

Hello All,
I am still on "Mother Earth" as of this hour, I am doing 75% better, if your collar bone has never been broken, "COUNT YOUR BLESSING". I am healing slowly and wished I had not gotten in this stinking wreck. CORRECTION !!! Guess it is more my fault but I was not on my 82' GL1100A, But I was on a buddy of mine's 88' GL1500A. the picture you see on my profile is the one I was on. Gieco Insurance told my buddy that it had too many "cosmetic brakes and scrapes so they "TOTALED IT", Gave him a check for $3300.00. But as the driver I get "NOTHING".
I have learned a lot from this situation. If I had been "KILLED" Then my 2 boys would have gotten not a danm dime. Something too do with the way the policy was set up. HOG WASH, MEDICAL BILLS AND OTHER THINGS NEED TO STILL GET PAID. I don't understand how this happen without me not being told what was really the truth about me as a driver on another man bike, seem you don't have any coverage !!!! 'Anyway Maybe if someone out here can help me so I don't have this problem again and MAYBE SOMEONE ELSE WILL LEARN SOMETHING POSITIVE BEFORE THEY GO THOROUGH WHAT I HAVE GONE THOROUGH. but TOO ALL thanks for the prays, GLAD I STILL AHVE MY 82' GL1100A too ride, God Bless you all !!!
As of the 16 of Oct. the surgeon will make up his mind if I will have to go through surgery on my collar bone. So pray for God too have his will here, Talk to ya'll later !!!

kajunmisfit, you should check with your own insurance company that insures your GL1100. They may be required to pay for your medical bills. There are clauses in insurance that allow you to be covered on new vehicles, or vehicles you are testing, so you may just be covered that way.

Thanks, But since the 1100 has been down for over 3-4 month we decided to take the coverage off for the time being. The car is the only thing I had with full coverage.

USA has different insurances for motor vehicles. Here, everyone is now covered, but they do not cover minor scrapes and bruises. Get weller and better sooner. Keep smiling.

Kajunmisfitt, if you have not already checked with your car insurance company, you might give it a try. They may cover you. Depends on the policy.

Very sorry to hear of your accident and hope you get better soon. I did not know this about insurance but I am learning. My insurance (thru state farm) insures the bike not the rider if I understand correct. If I were to let someone ride bike and they unfortunate accident then wreck would go on my insurance but not medical expenses. I never looked into it before and I keep meaning to talk to insurance agent.
