22 years 100,000 miles.. that's less than 5,000 miles a year. Quit babying that thing and take it out for a ride LOL...

Yeah, I'd say she's broke in now. Probably time to change the spark plugs.
I am wrong as often as I am right concerning what is wrong with someone else' motorcycle without having seen the machine in person. Guessing with limited information, as to the source of the trouble, is sketchy at best.

Like Hawkeye says, now that you have got it broke in, it is time to put another couple of 100 000s on, but you will have to do it quicker this time. Now that you have city traffic down pat, you might try some open road stuff :D

mines an 82 gl1100 with 76000 miles im quite embarrassed :-)
