Suggestions for Intercom

Postby Harp » Sat Dec 06, 2014 3:22 pm

Have a new GL1800A. Came with intercom set up for Stereo/CB/Intercom. The Mrs. recently told me that she doesn't like to ride because she can't talk while we're riding. I'm looking for suggestions as to what product would go best with full face helmet for passenger and driver. Five pin Honda cords are in place, just need helmet gear. Interested in quality & features over cheap product. I would appreciate input from those experienced with the system. Thank you,
Harp

I've been using J&M helmet-mounted intercom gear for many years with no complaints. When I got my newest helmet, I tested the various J&M offerings, and realized that their Elite line of headset, while a bit more expensive, had far far better sound quality. Being that I listen to music quite a bit when doing long-distance rides, I paid the extra amount to get the Elite headset for my helmet, and I'm not sorry that I did. Intercom clarity is excellent as the Elite has a better microphone as well.
