1st or 2nd generation 1800

What's the difference from a 1st generation 1800 and a 2nd generation. I take it the 2nd generation started in 2006 (I have a 2005).

Bigger rads and a new design Alternator Drive Gear is about it.Your 05 already has the new design frame and that to me is the most important upgrade from 01 -10.I've never had an overheating problem on my 04 ,so I can't say that update was a big deal and some of the new ADG's are starting to fail,so that wasn't all that big a deal either.JMHO.

Oh yeah,I think the stereo was upgraded as well for better sound.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.

Also, in 2006 GPS was available, and airbags became an optional or top level accessory. In 2009 the GPS and Stereo were upgraded for the U.S. models only. This information, however, to my impression is not the 1st to 2nd gen comparison. It was my impression that 2012 is beginning of the 2nd generation GL1800. 2001 to 2010 are 1st gen. Perhaps I am mistaken.
