Merry Christmas one and all

Postby Sidcar » Wed Dec 24, 2014 7:59 am

Merry Christmas folks,
I'm now all ready for the big day. I've finished putting up the tree and decorations, I've put out a plate of mince pies and a glass of sherry for Santa (help keep out the cold though I don't normally encourage drinking and driving) and left a note suggesting he leaves my present outside. I don't doubt for a minute he can get an 1800 Anniversary Edition Goldwing down our chimney but how the heck am I going to get it out of the house! Not to mention my wife's reaction when she finds a large motorcycle on the living room carpet.
Happy Christmas, Happy New Year and safe riding in 2015

Merry Christmas to all.
Today is the oldest you've ever been,
yet the youngest you'll ever be,
so enjoy this day while it lasts.

You guys do it up a whole lot better than we do, Sid. We put out milk and cookies. I am amazed Santa even comes here. Oh, wait. He doesn't.

Of course in Oz, Santa swaps out his reindeer for six white kangaroos. It is a very pleasant weather pattern we are having, and it might be a bit too warm for the reindeer, and that is why he swaps to the kangaroos. Also, it is traditional to leave a cold beer for Santa, as it must get a bit hot climbing up and down those chimneys. New houses in Oz are not allowed to have chimneys, so I dont know how Santa will get on.

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.
