We are not all 'bots'! At a particular snapshot in time, a whole range of people will come on, have a read, some will add to the discussions, and then sign off. Some will even not sign off and leave it idling away. We in Oz, and Guam, and Samoa, see the light of day about 14 or more hours in front of the continental USA.

With people living in various parts of the world, we are bound to have people come on, as they get up in the morning, and go off as they attend to their GWs. By being available 24 hours a day, it allows the minority to contribute as well as the majority. This is a good place, let's keep it that way and keep smiling.

Whenever I turn on the computer, I'll check my email and then this site for any new discussions that I might be able to help with. I don't generally log in unless I have something to contribute, or a question I need help with. But, that said, I'm on here several times a day, living vicariously through others, and enjoying every minute. Great site, and always very helpful. Thanks to all who contribute.

Ditto to both responders.

May not contribute much at the moment but I am sure I will be able to once I get my beastie on the road, and learn a few more things about my new toy.

Cheers

Me? A bot? On Dec 21st (Saturday) at 6 a.m.? Uh, I was still trying to complete my beauty sleep, or was I actually making the coffee? I would think just a shot in time you will find bots and such, but there are a couple here.....what was the line in Star Wars???

The "bots" are search engine web crawlers. They index what is on every site, so when you go to Google and type "how do I clean my Goldwing carburetor" it knows to direct you to the answer on this site. There's nothing nefarious or suspicious about them.

I only log in to post or use the UCP, sometimes when logged in or not I tend to leave the tab open. Now I know what a BOT is.

Now I know what a BOT is.

According to my dictionary, from the School of Hard Knocks:
BOT = a type of fly;
BOT = someone who is always wanting to borrow something, usually money, and forgets to pay back or return.

I spend way too much time on this site, but till my leg heals, I will continue to read old posts and the DIY articles and learn more about my bike. There is a ton of good info on this site. Often leave it running while I "crawl" down the stairs and do some of the DIY steps, then it's back up to look at the next steps :D . Then there are those times that while reading I find myself "reading" the inside of my eyelids ;) Best place on the web :D .

Yep. It's still my number one site to visit before I go to any other motorcycle site. I "read" the posts here, but generally "skim" the posts on other sites. ~PAT
