Locl junkyard score

Postby halcombrick » Fri Jan 09, 2015 10:10 am

I scored some cool parts from a 79 gl1000 yesterday. With a little cleaning and polishing they are coming along great and are headed to their new home on my 82 gl1100.

Those look very nice. I've polished mine too but yet they always end up looking dull. I wonder how much luck one would have spraying them with a clear finish.

That's a good idea I have a lot of clear and may just try that. the parts on my bike now are polished aluminum but I like the chrome a whole lot more. For a winter project all the polished will get replaced with the chrome.
