Definitely different. In terms of a general theme, or underlying theme, this would have to match other pieces on the bike or it will stand out on its own.
Not bad though. A mad max look of sorts :P

IAM all in when it comes to this kind of stuff ,,Its your ride and your bike ,, make it so that you feel good about what is or is not done .I love personal touches made out of chrome or gold .. Skulls iam not to sure of because that stands for death .. And we all know the last thing we want is to die .As for me ,,i was just about to start a new post ,,it was going to be ,,TO CHROME OR NOT TO CHROME ,,OR IF IT DONT GO ,,CHROME IT . You all git the idea ,,! Anyway i have this 1986 gl1200 that will be and has been torn down for a repaint. Plus i wish to add chrome parts and things to make her be apart of my shine on personalty . Problem is ,,i have not been able to find chrome stuff for any 86 gl1200 interstate . And anything i do find is priced way to high or is beat to death .. Fear not my friends ,i have a plan . I will get into that on my other post soon . As for gl1100s .my god ,there is a bike on ebay ,1982 gl1100 i believe that is truly stunning with all the chrome and stuff ,its color is black ,,and with all the lights and stuff ,well u know ,,But then u look at a picture of this bike up close and focused on the amp meter ,,she only reads 10.1 ,,and we all know this is not good .Ok I am getting off track here ,,I SAY ,,DO WHAT EVER YOU WISH ,,AND WHAT EVER MAKES YOU HAPPY ,,YOU ONLY GET ONE SHOT IN THIS LIFE ,,LIVE IT YOUR WAY ,,NOT ANYONE ELSE..AND IF THEY DONT LIKE WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR BIKE ,,SCREW THEM ,, ITS NOT THERES ,,ITS YOURS . and one other quick story ,, there was a Harley Rider broke down near my home a few days ago ,The temp outside was about 18 degrees . I went by this guy and as i did ,i could see that he was a little cold .So i turned my van around and went back to see if i could help . When i stopped next to his bike ,the first thing he said was ,,What do i ride ? I replied ,,it depends on the day and weather ,I can ride my Polaris snowmobile,or anyone of my two motorcycles ,,a gl1100 or a gl1200 ,, but it just so happens today iam riding my old dodge van .Now can i help you ,,His reply was ,,What ! you dont have a Harley? I had to say it ,,and i think you know where iam going .Well my friend ,i dont ride a Harley ,cause i dont ever want to get broke down like you and in this kind of weather . He is now looking to buy a gl1800 .. and we are getting together soon to plan a future road tour .. As for the chrome ,, again i say ,,make her yours and one of a kind ,,even if it means using chrome parts that are ment for other years ,,make them fit .

Now that's ok, but there is one that someone has that is really over the top. I think we've all seen the picture of this bike on the net. Not sure what type of charging system it has.

Maybe this could be a good solution for the expensive chrome accessories :

Beautiful bike Austin. JC Whitney has a ton of chrome for the 80-83 wings. I found carb covers, plug wire and brake covers as well as chrome turn signal grills. Check them out and click live chat help and they can show you parts that are not in the catalog or site, hope this helps someone......Rick
