USB Stick Music Questions

Postby CMReynolds1 » Sun Jan 18, 2015 11:28 am

I am not new to motorcycling, nor Goldwings. However, I am new to the latest models of Goldwings. I bought a 2013 F6B and absolutely love it. Sure is different than my 82! I have added Sirius and a few other amenities. My question concerns the USB connector in the saddlebag. If I understand correctly I can load music on to a stick and then insert it in the connector and have another music source. Would someone be kind enough to fill me in on this feature? What type of files need to be loaded? Maximum Gig of the stick allowed and anything else you may think will make smarter on this accessory.

Thanks in advance!!! :?

Details are on page 111 of the owners manual that can be downloaded from a plethora of places, otherwise
USB port requires 256MB minimum, no maximum limit
Supports MP3, WMA6 and AAC music files
Supports most ipods

Never looked in a Goldwing manual myself, probably because I never bought a new one, and it was only the last two Goldwings I bought that had one. After 33years on GoldWings I would be worried if I had to look in the owners manual.
I only know because someone else asked somewhere and I read it LOL
Plus I think it does not actually tell you what music file types it plays, just what it does and does not support, so reckon you would have been asking anyway old chap.

I think it likes Country music, but it is not that fussed about Jazz or Classical. A bit of Neil Diamond, Alabama, and similar always goes down well in my music machine!

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.

Must be getting old, or slow, that is usually what I would have posted :)
