Last weekend I had my first maintenance on my GL1100 1982.
Thanks to the many DIY articles on the site I knew lots of things about the motor before I ever had one.
The oil change, frontwheel remove and refit for replacing a new tire, carb sync etc were easy to do because of your clear explanation.

The oilfilter change went a bit hard because the drainplug didn't come out easily. It took some of the alu material with it.
But after tapping a new threat the new bold fitted perfectly.
The oilfilter itself appearently hadn't come off for several years. Only after welding a bigger nut on it we could set the power propperly to get it loose. Luckily it didn't damage the internal material.
After that replacing was easy thanks to the articles you all written.
Even a carb sync went on easy and the engine runs as smooth as a baby's bottom.
Next winter I planned a timebelt replacement en some other maintenance.
I hope I than can place an article too to help some others as you helped me.
