I seen ad on craigslist, it was posted at 4pm i seen it at 4:45pm.
1982 GL1100 goldwing moving must go today $400. or BO. In as not been run in 8 yrs and been in shed whole time.
So i text still for sale . Yes come get it.
Is there a clean title and does motor turn over. clean title had it running last yr to put it in shed because its been sitting outside for yrs. if you want it give me $200 cash now. I have 3 friends waiting to help load. that was a RED FLAG TO ME.
I ask for address which when give i know area very well and its a dead end street, but police station is right down road. So i text back i can pick up monday because i got to get friends trailer plus roads right now are ice. So he text back $150. now. I told wife i got to get it and add to my other 2 bikes which are apart. She saids NO. We had no income since you been temp. disabilty and you don't need another. Well i text guy back i can pick it up in about 1 hour. His statement no after 11pm come get it we will be waiting. I text back hey about we meet at police station and i will get a officer to go with us to the house. His statement back to me GET THE F--- out of here. And i didn't hear another word from him. So at about 6pm i called the police station and told them the deal. they thank me.

that bike was sitting in a shed for 8 years? what was it shrink wrapped? no way could that bike look that good after sitting in a shed for 8 years. sounds like someone stole it and wanted to dump it on some poor unsuspecting buyer, and that buyer if caught with it would have been charged with GTA and receiving stolen property and maybe a few other charges along the way.

well, seeing how nice that bike looked after sitting for 8 years would have been MY first flag, and how he was willing to sell it so cheap and even dropping the price would have been my 2nd flag. you did the right thing calling the police. did they ever investigate it do you know?
