No problem here. Just doing a lot of upgrades. I just retired and I'm planning a trip to Glacier National Park.

Welcome to the forum. We're Just letting you know that the Admin here is from Strongville. You're going to love the ride to and through Glacier. Made the trip 3 years ago. Beautiful but the weather was in the high 90s in early June. Seems to be warmer with less and less snow there from year to year. I was looking at their webcam a few days ago and there is not much snow now either.

The "Going to the Sun" highway through Glacier is a beautiful ride. Hopefully you will see some snow and maybe even take the hike from the visitor center at the top to the Glacier.

And enjoy the ride out and back. Remember on a motorcycle it is the ride not the destination that really matters. And there is so much to see from Ohio to Montana.

Wise words. I'm finding it a challenge to relax and enjoy the view. I've had a very high stress life for 45 years. Now I'd like to travel on my iron horse, take lots of pictures and write about the adventure.

A friend of mine told me to take Highway 12 instead of I-94 across Minnesota, the Dakotas and Montana. Better scenery. I'm going to take the Lake Express from Muskegon to Milwaukee instead of going near Chicago.

I just came back from CycleMax in Valley City. I bought some foam handlebar grips for the Goldwing. He doesn't work on motorcycles anymore. He referred me to Accurate Cycle Service in LaGrange Ohio.

Do any of you guys use a backrest? I'm thinking of installing one.

Gary at Cyclemax just referred you to the same guy I would have. Kevin does good work, and he specializes in all years of Goldwings.

No idea, you'd have to contact him. But honestly, if you want your GL1100 carbs rebuilt, Pistol Pete is the guy to go to.

It is a bit of a drive, but the guy I use owns Rider's Choice in South Euclid. He has worked with me on price, allowed me to find parts via internet & Ebay with no premium to install them. He is really a guy you can trust. His name is Bela - the guy is a perfectionist and the only one I trust with my Wing. His number is 216-791-0537. He specializes in Goldwings and is worth the drive.

Thanks. Good to know.

Does anyone know an upholstery guy who can shave a couple inches off the seat? Or replace the hard foam with a medium density foam?
