Brentsboats out of Hospital

Postby brentsboats » Fri Mar 13, 2015 3:41 pm

Well it has not been alot of fun .And the getting better is taken alot longer then i want .Guess iam not a kid anymore. They had me on the table for 5 hrs plus a few min and out like a lite during that time . My back is bad and was not ment to lay flat that long . Its been almost 2/1/2 weeks since i got out and iam still sore as hell all over . I feel like i have been hit by a truck twice. Well anyway they got me all fixed and ill be ready to ride soon ,The snow is still around here and a good 3 ft to go in most places .Never mind when mud season comes and we get a ton of potholes ,.It will be another month and a half before the roads are ready around here . So i have decided to sell one of the two goldwings and buy a bigger bike ,,Its with regret that my heart is set on a Kawi Vulcan Nomad ,,yet i will keep one of the wings just because ,,I hope its the gl1100 that i keep ,great for short trips . So ok u guys ,,if u know of anyone looking to buy a very nice 82 naked gl1100 or a 86 gl1200 all redone ,send them my way. Iam still looking also and everywhere for the Kawi Vulcan ,,again if you know anyone that has one ,send them my way. 2000-2006 vulcan nomad ,Ill be trying each day to get better and making plans for my first big cross country .. ride safe .. Brent

Glad things went well on the table. Hope your back gets better soon. Pain sucks. Central Wi. lost most of our snow in the last few days. Lots of salt on the roads though. Still holding back the urge to ride. :x

yeah ,ive got that big itch too ,but i cant scratch it ,, Took a short ride today in the car and was thinking that the roads were not to bad until we cam over a short hill and hit a patch of ice right in the middle of the road .Good thing i was not on a bike . The back will get better as soon as i get off my butt and start sitting on a bike seat .This hanging around is for the birds ,Next year iam out of here and heading to Texas or any KOA campground in SC . Ive found a friend u wants someone to watch his house inTexas while he goes to visit the Phillipines .Nov to April , Going to go pay him a visit to see just what he has there this summer and then will decide .Thats why iam looking for Kawi Vulcan,,its a long trip from here .

hey Brent, glad your surgery went well, but listen, don't rush yourself, its gonna take time to heal up. you don't want to be on a bike and hit a bump and throw your back out again this soon from being out of the hospital. your body still needs time to heal up. believe me, you have the entire spring and summer and possibly fall to be riding a bike. ya gotta take baby steps before you can run, you'll get there.

hope your back in the saddle soon buddy.

Its not the back i worry about ,, i know that will get better when i start to ride something. The Docs fixed my veins going to and from my heart plus they did a patch job on a vein for the left leg .And more rotor rooter . I had 2 anyourizems near the heart and one was leaking .. just call me lucky i guess . They installed to big stents for the heart arteries to fix the bulges. And grafted a piece of plastic to my vein going to left leg ..Laying down all that time really messed me up .. I have gone threw surgery before ,,but this tops it all . and its my last time for sure . No running or Jogging for me .Ill be happy just to walk again .And of course ride ..thanks

Good that you have escaped the "doo gooders" in the hospital, and are feeling somewhat better(?). But dont let that new blood flow go to your head to mix up your capabilities with your realities! Get better sooner.
