I feel sorry for you part-time riders, why not come south and avoid the hassle of snow, ice, and salt. It is so much more reasonable here, it is a very pleasant 29.9C (about 84F) here at midday. Think I will go and check out the great country smells  .

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.

Not I, said the fly! ATGATT for me. I would rather have to stop for an infusion of water, than a transfusion of blood!

Some States/Territories are so strict about helmets, that you can be pinged for riding on your farm/property without a helmet. My ex-policeman brother would ping anyone without a helmet, riding anywhere, and he lived in the tropics and rides as well.

No flip flops, no singlets, but must have a helmet - how else are you going to stop the sunburn/windburn?

It's almost always riding weather for me. As long as there's no ice on the road or no projection for ice formation, I'll probably ride. Back in about 1985, several of us rode to Virginia Beach, Va. on the same day a hurricane made landfall close by. The weather-liar said we'd have a good day, but I guess no one told the hurricane. I've never been so wet in all my life.

My favorite riding conditions are temps between 55-60 (F) with sunny skies and light wind. Warmer weather makes riding with my preferred clothing a little uncomfortable. I've ridden in all kinds of weather, even while it was snowing out, and always enjoy the ride. I just enjoy it more when it's more temperate out... I like the 1200 when it's cooler or rainy out, and the 1100 when it is warmer due to the length of the front faring, which allows more air to flow to my legs... that flat four makes a lot of heat. I can't imagine how much head a 1500 or 1800 engine makes.
I am wrong as often as I am right concerning what is wrong with someone else' motorcycle without having seen the machine in person. Guessing with limited information, as to the source of the trouble, is sketchy at best.

I remember the last time I was down in Florida with my g/w. temp was about 90*, and this 1100 motor was putting out some heat. with the sunburn on my legs it felt like my legs were on fire and it felt worse when I was stopped at a light waiting for it to turn green.
