I was out there this week once, a.m. was 30 degrees, and afternoon up to mid 60s, was nice that the "day-light savings time" clock change was in my favor, since I did not get home until 7 pm.

Now the rains hit, and this is the first rain in about 2 weeks, so will let it wash the oil away on the roads and then see what happens. I am hoping it only rains this weekend then I will be out again next week.

Nice that you got back on the ride again....I took a "leave of absence" for about 10 years, and back on a 1500 I went, I will not leave riding again until I can not ride anymore.....so here we go ;)

how's that song go....."I don't care if it rains or freezes, long as I got my plastic Jesus mounted on the dashboard of my wing? lol :). and now that I have a windshield wiper on my windshield, I don't care about the rain anymore either ;).

Was going to blow the dust off on Sunday but the 40 mph winds kept me home, Didn't want to tempt fate on the first ride of the season when I am getting my getting back in the saddle and have to contend with wind like that. Some might say I am a woose but I like to take the first couple of trips easy

I was out this past Saturday for my first ride of the year. I had a great time. The wind was only an issue for a half hour or so http://goldwingdocs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=26229&p=148493#p148493

no, you don't want your first ride of the season to be in 40mph winds. that takes all the fun out of it :).

Well, Me and my buddy went out for our first ride of the year. Only did about 80 miles and it took us about 6 hours total :).

We started the day at Cycle Gear and I ended up buying a new jacket. I haven't been able to find one that fit me until sunday. It's just a Bilt, but it fits, has a removable liner and pads. Not full on Armor, which I really would like, but better then the regular jacket I have been wearing and I feel more secure wearing it. It even has reflective piping. Anyway, we didn't intend to go on a long ride, but my buddy also bought a riding jacket for his girlfriend, and we had to try them out. :D

We ended up going to a diner for breakfast, and then ended up going thru Delpaso hieghts (an area in Sacramento) then on to the Garden highway, north? until we found a place to get fuel. Refilled, headed to Marysville, then back down 99 then 65 back to roseville.

It was a very nice, laid back first ride of the season. One thing I've noticed, is my skills have fallen off since November. It's time to hit the parking lot and get some practice in. It's amazing how much you loose in just four months.
