1st Day of Spring

Postby A2Wing » Fri Mar 20, 2015 11:11 pm

First day of spring inspires thoughts of Baseball, flower gardens, and Motorcycles...well, I got 2 out of 3. (Never been into flower gardens.) To celebrate, took the wing out for a ride, came back and changed the crankcase and final drive oils. That first ride always feels good. Now, how many days till opening day? GO TIGERS!!
Anyone else celebrate with a ride?

I worked and the rain came in about 2 pm, so no riding, expecting 50% rains all weekend.....golfing tomorrow, but walking in rain is different than riding.

Expecting it to dry out next week (Wednesday on), so riding to work Friday and then maybe oil change next Saturday....Got my Rotella T6...

....GO MARINERS!!!

Cloudy, breezy and a bit chilly here. Ran my wing for a bit but didn't get to ride. Forecast is a mix for next 10 days. I know I should be working on my wing but I wanna ride!

Shoveled four inches of new snow out of my driveway and cleaned it off the cars and truck. Needed something out of the bike garage, so I got to see the wing when I opened the door. That was as close as I came to a ride. It is going down below 0 F again tonight, so all the wet stuff will harden up again. Oh well, it is still pretty close to winter, and this is Canada, LMFAO deliriously.

You Vikings are a hardy bunch! Yeah, snow can happen anytime here in MI, too. When I lived in Evanston, WY, I had to brush 2 inches of snow off the car, before going to a Memorial day service in the morning, then cut the grass that afternoon. I guess in your neighborhood, it may still be winter for a while.

Was really bad fog yesterday for about 50 miles, but warmed up in the afternoon to 72....almost rode today....it was 40 this a.m., only fog for 35 miles then cleared up, but not blue sky. I drove the "cager" instead with all the music blaring from its speaks....a definite Friday. Need to ride next week, supposed to warm up per the schedule.

My Friday was spent watching it snow non-stop all day long, and then driving an hour and a half through a snowstorm. Spring? Really?

And I spent yesterday riding in smooth sunshine, no wind, no rain, no snow, no ice, no sand, and, most importantly, no worries

Today is even better, with temps in the low 30c (about 80F), dream on, Northerners, dream on

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.
