My old bucket

Postby littlebeaver » Mon Mar 30, 2015 1:43 pm

I grew up poor man... we didn't have a lot of money, so we learned how to make things out of nothing.. Using our freakin minds man... Mine works best after a few beers lol.... Ok so this winter I was working on cutting some material on my bandsaw and the stool wasn't the correct height for me to be comfortable as I sit there for hours on end, so I made myself a stool, then a idea hit me,, hey make it a multi purpose helper man,,, it holds my scissors, my hammer my beer or drink, and it's a tire changer,,that's right fella's a freakin tire changer,,,1 bucket 1, 2x4 and a little plywood for circles at the top and 3/4 of the way down for a all thread to hold the rim down....Just cut the legs the height you want it and screw it to the inside of the bucket and you have it,, the rest is easy enough...  I use this not to change out my tires but as a stool and I put my vise on top of it for small stuff, I have another on the table of course..Laugh if you want I'm here to entertain you ...lol
If you use this for a tire changer mount it to a 3'x3' piece of 3/4" plywood

That is simple but very effective .nothing worse than working on your bike with tools all over the place even if you started with them all nice and neat in the toolbox . I like it .

I'm pretty much unorganized half the time, it's how I function....But I know where everything is....Sorta...lol, In another post I made a tire changer out of wood.. this would be much easier...
