Postby halcombrick » Wed Apr 01, 2015 12:05 am

if you have a cloudy an scratched up windshield i suggest plastix.i got some from walmart and used it today and the difference it made in my windshield was amazing, i had a lot of scratches where the po cleaned it with something really abrasive and it was very cloudy to boot, it didnt get the deep scratches out but man it sure took care of the light scratches and all the cloudiness, this stuff is amazing, just thought this might help someone,,,hal

I am sure this product will produce excellent results in the short term but it does contain compounds which will cause polycarbonate (ie Goldwing windscreens) to deteriorate. This and similar products usually contain petroleum distillates which is why Honda advise that the screen should only be cleaned using moderate amounts of soap, and lots and lots of water. This of course will not get rid of scratches but I don't believe there is a product which will do this adequately.
