I'm betting that he is still here, just doesn't have as much spare time as some of us do ;) . I don't see how he keeps up with it all. But, Admin, Thanks for all that you do for us! :D I spend way too much time here myself, but there is so much interesting stuff!

Wherever he is, I hope he's having the time of his life. He puts in an enormous amount of work here, so he certainly deserves it! Seriously - without him I, for one, (as the Sheriffs in the "deep sowth" say...) would "be in a heap o' trouble, boy!"

But it WOULD be nice if we could vicariously enjoy his vacation - how 'bout it, WA - any chance of an e-postcard here? :D

Roadwanderer2 (Stuart) was in the hospital having suffered a heart incident (don't know how serious) and was going to get back to us when he got out. I have not heard anything since then and it is several days now.

ok guys, to put your minds at ease, im still breathing,(by the grace of GOD), but it was a bad weekend last weekend. I WAS in the ICU at my local hospital for heart related problems over last weekend. last Friday my veterans clinic sent me to a hospital for symptoms of pneumonia and after x-rays were taken, I was misdiagnosed as having bronchitis and givin a breathing treatment that was 4 times the normal dosage which caused my heart to go up to almost stroke level,(165bpm). at 2 am on Saturday morning, my wife had to rush me to the hospital, and after spending 27 hours in the ICU and having multiple chest x-rays and EKG's it was confirmed that I do in fact have pneumonia and suffered a mild heart attack and not bronchitis. both my arms and hands are very sore from being stuck with IV's and for blood work. my prescribed heart medication had to be increased from 140mg's to 240mg's to try to keep my heart from going into "A" fib and keep it in regular sinus rhythm.

today I started a new thread posting entitled "starting the repaint process". there you will find the latest news about my paint work. I am still waiting for a couple more parts to arrive so I can start pulling the motor off the bike and get it fixed.

stuart.

Stuart,

I hope you are talking about your GW and not yourself. I believe they have stopped making parts in your size, although you may get the occasional, hardly ever used, replacement, they are certainly in short supply.

WA,
If you are basking in the sun somewhere, good luck to you. Keep those emails and work in perspective, and enjoy yourselves. I presume Mrs WA is with you, and you are both recovering from winter, and looking forward to Spring and Summer.

I was off in England! I do normally check in when I'm away, but the Internet connection I had was so dismally slow, I just gave up trying. :)

Oh no, not this time! :) That said, I've definitely learned to temper my expectations when it comes to culinary fare in England. :)

My daughter lives little over an hours drive from London and I found most, if not all, drivers were pleasant. I actually enjoyed driving out there. Although it was in a cage. Seems those country roads were made for Goldwings. ( I only saw one out there.)

I stay up north, where the roads are tiny, single-track lanes with dry stone walls on either side, and if you come up against someone going the other direction, one of you has to back up to a place where it's wide enough that you can pass one another. :) I see quite a few bikes, rarely see a Goldwing. This time I didn't see ANY Goldwings at all.
