Anyone that knows me, knows I'm the last person you wanta take advice from for electrical stuff but I'm not a complete numb skull... I found this today and thought it could be very helpful to members here,, it shows the % of the life of your battery....I never knew this,,wanted to share it.. 100% =12.7v , 90%=12.5v, 80%=12.42v, 70%=12.32v, 60%=12.2v, 50%=12.06v , 40%11.9v, 30%11.75v, 20%=11.58 10%=11.31v, 0%=10.5v :D so go check your battery so you know... :shock:

Keep in mind this is a resting state - after the surface charge has dissipated. It is also with zero load - so if your radio memory/clock is drawing power, it will be slightly lower.

After you have charged the battery, or after the bike has been run (which charges the battery), either wait a good 10 hours for the surface charge to dissipate, or turn the bike (but not the engine) on, so that the headlight comes on, for a good minute. This will remove the surface charge. Let the battery rest (recover) for a few minutes, THEN measure the voltage to determine the state of charge.
