My recommendation would be to do a simple list of your estimated costs and time/labour to fix each one in total. Like
1. purchase/parts/pickup/paint/repairs/time = $
2. estimated value when finished = $
3. enjoyment factor = ?

See which one would be the cheapest - least expense to you - to repair get running etc..

If you are looking just to - I think the term is "flip" the bike for a profit - then obviously the one that will make the most for you.

then the "Gut" reaction to your first immediate choice always helps....

maybe toss a three sided coin..... :)

The nomad sounds sweet and the Goldwing sounds like it needs a lot of work. My vote is buy the nomad and enjoy it. If later on you want a Goldwing you can sell the nomad and upgrade. I always try to avoid bikes with lots of plastics that need painted. Cheap paint jobs look cheap and you never can recoup your money from an expensive paint job. Just my 2 cents worth.

Your right about the Nomad. It is like riding a couch. I find it a totally different riding position as compared to a Wing. I have a 2006 Nomad, it is a great highway bike. It can take a lot of wind and not throw you around. That been said it is very heavy. I mean very heavy. I know the Goldwing (2010) has more weight to it but it has better balance. My bike trips take me to B.C. and down the pacific Coast Highway. My Goldwing handles the mountains and the sharp turns far better than the Nomad. Like the other post said you can always upgrade later.
